order to hone the development skills of young researchers, a workshop was recently held at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). Nine scholars shared their research experiences with more than 350 students from 40 universities and 50 majors from all over Pakistan, says a press release.
Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) Chairperson Dr Manzoor Hussain Soomro was the chief guest.
The workshop aimed at training university students about methodologies and technical aspects related to pursuing a research degree, said an official of the university.
He said that special emphasis was laid on the development of various skills in the participants. The most prominent ones being producing quality research papers and poster presentations, effective written communication when applying for research grants/scholarships and sending effective applications for getting admission in overseas universities.
In his remarks, Dr Manzoor said that this platform has brought young people and scholars together, and he hopes that it will continue to do so in future.
